DELCO

Even though I never had much desire to be an entrepreneur, I now find myself just about to publish a website in a desire to make money.  The market, Delaware County, or DELCO as the locals call it. How will I make money?  The Zuckerburg approach, making it cool before profiting.  Why, because people who live there love it? Why? Because people there normally always boost about how they can drink a lot.  How many people live in Delco? 558,979. Out of that number, who is believed to be marketed too, roughly 10,000.  Obviously not a huge market, but it is big enough and my friends and I will enjoy making the site.  It will take a similar approach that Bro Bible takes in just being a blog directed at people from DELCO.  What inspired this idea? DELCO people.  The past 3 State Patty’s day, I have had no problem selling T-Shirts with DELCO on the back.  In just one day, I was up to 200 orders and since I don’t have the capital to front for much more than that I didn’t take any more.  Plus exclusiveness is cool.  Website has not been published yet, but in the next few days we should have it up and running.  Shot in the dark I know, but I will enjoy it.

Our group is doing are one project on reinventing the dryer, so it does not use electricity.  The idea is fairly simple; we use hit from the fire place and use a bike to spin the dryer.  However, I am guessing most people in the world are too lazy to buy this.  While looking into dryers, I found this link.  This dryer seems like a great way to save energy.  It is basically a dryer that automatically stops when your clothes are dry.  That is great news because I can’t tell you how many times I have used a dryer and came back and it feels like my clothes have been roasting for 20 minutes longer than they should have.  Using a dryer about an hour a day every day a year, which is close to how my family does, will cost the user $200 a year in electricity making this dryer worth wild.
